Live Healthy Fort Madison Challenge

Created by health and wellness professionals from our community, the Live Healthy Fort Madison Challenge has been designed to be as inclusive as possible.  The Challenge encourages individual goals, but doesn’t allow participants to “go it alone.”  Additionally, the Challenge has something for everyone, regardless of your current activity level or desire/ need to lose weight.  Team Captains will go through a mini training session to help prepare them for the 20-week challenge, and materials will be dispersed throughout the challenge to keep things fresh and interesting for participants.

Individuals earn points in three areas: exercise/ activity, healthy eating habits, and weight loss/ maintenance.  Each week, individuals will report their points to the team captain, who in turn will tally them and direct them to the program coordinator.  Points will be tallied and individuals and teams will be awarded prizes at the end of the 20 weeks.

The first 20-week Challenge kicked off on June 4, 2011, and runs through October 22, 2011.
